james street up late 29 march

Had an amazing night with The Urban List girls at James Street Up Late. I also had the privilege of bumping into some of Australia's best designers; Heidi Middleton of sass and bide, Easton Pearson's Pamela Easton and Lydia Pearson, Camilla Franks of Camilla, the boys from KSUBI and Bec Manning of Rebecca Manning - just to name a few! It is great to see the support from some amazing faces in the industry as well as Brisbane and James Street especially, turning into a one stop shop for all your loves, wants, haves and needs. flatforms are my new best friend
The pièce de résistance; flatforms aka flat platforms. I am coming to hate the impracticality that comes with those skinny heeled, pointy stilettos. Stilettos and any heel resembling anything skinny is definitely out of fashion I think with women wanting a more classical shape as well as a practical fit for when you need to romp over any terrain in a hurry.
Lookbook.nu has some great inspiration for the platform trend. The platforms can really be reversed ever which way you desire; from street to chic - the mix and matching is endless.
